The holiday polishes continue with Color Club’s Holiday Splendor.   I also have the rest of the collection and even made the swatches for the most part, but with finals and work I haven’t been able to do jack so they are not up yet.  Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get them up until 2012 it looks like.  Anyway, onto Holiday Splendor!!!

The Application:  At first, I was concerned that Holiday Splendor would be a pain to work with, but it turned out to be a breeze to put on.  Some of the other formulas in the collection were a nightmare, so this was a nice surprise.  It took about three coats to be completely opaque.

The Color:  Holiday Splendor is a perfect holiday green with a dash of various color glitter.  Yes, this is a glitter polish but it’s not a glitter bomb which is nice.  I love the glitter bombs, but this is a nice mix of polish and glitter fun making for easier removal and limited chipping.  The color is a nice turquoise green and the various color glitter makes it seem a little like a lit up tree.  Nice!  It does slightly remind me of Atlantis from China Glaze, but Atlantis is a bit more teal than Holiday Splendor.

The Verdict:  Holiday Splendor is a fun holiday polish but I don’t know if I would wear it year round.  Green polishes rarely work on me because of my cool skin tone, I tend to work better with blues, but it’s fun and won’t stop me from wearing it this holiday season.  But if you love greens, you will be tempted to wear this year round.  It is an attention grabber, so be prepared.  I have been given a few comments all ready and I’ve only been wearing it for about a day.  I don’t know if that’s good or bad, but it’s definitely been fun!
